avvokado.ch – find the right lawyer in plain language.
Most legal directories make visitors fight through filters and legal jargon. avvokado.ch turns that around: visitors describe their problem in their own words – «Ärger mit dem Vermieter in Zürich» – and the AI search figures out the field of law, the location and the right filters, then takes them straight to matching lawyers. We developed the directory, the profile generator and the search.

What we built
A directory that builds itself
Lawyer data is the single source of truth – everything else on the site is generated from it automatically.
AI-assisted search
A language model interprets what the visitor actually needs and redirects to pre-filtered results. If the model is unavailable, a local keyword fallback keeps the search working.
Auto-generated profiles
Law-firm and location pages are created programmatically from the lawyer data – hundreds of consistent, SEO-ready pages without manual editing.
SEO at scale
Every canton, city and field of law gets its own indexable landing page – organic traffic compounds as the directory grows.
API-backed
A separate Node.js REST API serves the structured data and keeps the WordPress front end fast and thin.
How the platform works
From question to lawyer in three steps
Describe the problem
The visitor types a plain-language question or picks classic filters – name, field of law, location.
AI interprets the intent
The search understands what field of law and region the case belongs to and builds the right filter combination automatically.
Matching profiles
The visitor lands on a filtered result list with detailed lawyer, firm and location profiles – contact details included.
Under the hood
Configurable without code
We built the search to be fully configurable from the WordPress backend: a drag-and-drop admin tool defines which filter fields each search context uses, so our client can re-tune the directory without touching code.
The stack combines WordPress with the aDirectory listing engine and Divi on the front end, and a Node.js/Express REST API for structured data. The AI layer sits on top as a thin, replaceable service – a pattern we reuse across the products we develop.
The directory serves the Swiss legal market. We built it; our client runs it and curates the entries.
