A configurator that also knows the delivery date.
Stretcher frames come in endless sizes – and anyone ordering online wants to know two things before buying: what it costs and when it arrives. For Fleury-Art in Basel we built a configurator that answers both in real time, even when the goods still have to be produced. Fully integrated into Shopify, with no second system alongside it.

- Configurator
- Pricing logic
- Delivery scheduling

What it does
Three sliders, a lot of logic behind them
Up front it looks like a few clicks. Behind it sit price tiers, material limits and a scheduling calculation that takes production into account.
Price in real time
Depth, length, width and shape together produce the price – recalculated continuously as the sliders move. No price table to look up, no enquiry form.
Exact delivery date
The configurator does not say «about two weeks», it names a specific date. For stocked goods as well as for made-to-order items, where several production steps follow one another and each has its own duration.
Simple to use
Three steps, sliders with numeric entry, a preview of the chosen format and short help texts exactly where questions come up. People who know stretcher frames are through in seconds; people who don't are guided.
Entirely inside Shopify
The result lands in the cart as a regular line item – same checkout, same shipping rules, same reporting as any other product. No second system to maintain.
How it works
From a custom size to the cart
Choose the format
Pick the type and depth of the frame, then set length and width with sliders or by typing numbers. Made-to-order sizes can be allowed deliberately.
See price and date
Both appear immediately and change with every adjustment – including the date on which delivery happens.
Add to cart
The configuration goes into the cart as an ordinary Shopify line item and from there through the familiar checkout.
Under the hood
Everything adjustable in the admin
The most important part of this work is not visible in the shop: every rule – price tiers, permitted dimensions, surcharges, production durations and the order of the steps that add up to the delivery date – is stored in the admin area and can be changed there freely.
That was the explicit requirement: after handover, our client should not have to call us for every price adjustment or every new format. When material prices, production times or the range change, they maintain it themselves – no development, no waiting, no invoice.
The shop is operated by Fleury-Art. We built the configurator and handed it over; the ongoing maintenance sits with the client.
See it live
A few clicks to the frame you want.
Best tried yourself: move the sliders and watch the price and the delivery date follow along.
